I am an Associate Professor of Political Science at The University of Georgia. I received my Ph.D. from Michigan State University in 2003 where I was a fellow in the Political Institutions and Public Choice Program, now located at Duke University. My primary research interests are in American politics and political institutions, with an emphasis on rational choice theory. Most of my current research focuses on congressional politics and elections, American political development, and separation of powers.
